Comments Requested on "They Come to America"

I would like to hear from those who attended the movie "They Come to America" at the Uptown theater.  I walked out when the producer offered the illegal ALIEN (not "immigrant") a shed to live in.  My first impression when he walked down the aisle was he didn't look like the type of person to normally wear a hat like that.  I thought it was an affectation for the audience.....as was the movie.  When he said he hadn't ever voted before I mentally noted "You're a lazy, young, east coast, liberal asshole".  My opinion wasn't changed during the hour of the movie I saw.  The explanation for making the movie seemed like a whim to occupy his time since it didn't seem like he had ever had a real job in his life.  Yes, there was a lot of information that most of us original source readers already knew.  But the producer seemed like an opportunistist for conservative attention rather than a man with deep moral convictions.  To me he looked and sounded a bit like Hannity whom I can't stand to watch.  When I left the theater I saw Rothrock skulking in the shadow of the foyer whispering with someone.  I wonder how often he does that on the job.  I would really like to hear from those who stayed the whole time.  If I'm off-base I would like to know why.  Thanks

You should have stayed to the end because it didn't go where you think it was.    You missed the point that Lynch did very much have a job that he lost when the Towers fell since he and his job, was in one of them.

This was his second movie and he got "stuck" on the issue of illegal immigration and how it effects every one every where and it especially stuck when he came to the border and faced the cartels one dark night. Won't tell you the net result of the movie but will say that every time this story gets told from coast to coast it opens the eyes of the people who attend.   Seeing the visual makes people 'get it" especially when they relate to the filmmaker. whatever it takes..

Skulking will not be a problem henceforth since Rothrock will undoubtedly retire when Dannels takes over, which I think is 1-1-2013.

Thanks.
